PEOPLE in the twin towns were tonight treated to a spectacular display as an unidentified flying object (yes, a UFO) was seen soaring across the night skies.
Before breaking into parts it was seen across Victoria and southern NSW.
Riverine Herald staff member Emma Mortimer was outside and suddenly saw the meteor blazing above and filmed this video.
Residents in regional Victoria have flocked to social media to share their videos of the UFO; which is believed to be a piece of space junk.
As well as being seen above Echuca-Moama; the blazing object was also seen over Ballarat and spotted as far as Colac heats up as it enters the atmosphere, leaving a trail of bright fluorescent light behind it.
Media reports suggested the object could also be a meteor caught in the pull of Earth's gravitational system.
