No bull, Brutus will make a great friend

By Kimberley Price

YOU will fall in love with long-haired and cuddly Brutus instantly.

Having mastered sit and shake, Brutus — a Bull Arab cross — will show off his skills to anyone watching.

He is a very gentle and well-mannered gentleman who is full of love and affection.

Brutus will stay close by and will drop and roll for a belly rub any chance he gets.

Although Brutus is healthy, he is a little older and may soon require veterinary treatment for diseases of old age such as arthritis and heart disease.

While he is an eight-year-old, this shouldn’t be a deterrent and he still has plenty of love and years ahead of him to give to a new family.

Due to Brutus’ light colouration he is prone to skin cancer and needs an owner who has a sun smart lifestyle.

Brutus will need to be kept in the shade or indoors as much as possible in the summer months, and have pet safe sun screen applied to his nose and ears regularly.

It is also recommended Brutus gets six monthly check ups on his skin with a veterinarian, to ensure any early signs of skin cancer can be caught and treated.

Brutus is a beautiful and calm dog who would make an easy and joyful additional to your family.

He is available from the Campaspe Animal Shelter for $177.
