MURRAY River Council’s community services department will participate in an aged care quality review, forming part of the accreditation process for the delivery of community-based aged care services.
Council’s community services department provides direct services to eligible frail-aged clients under the Commonwealth Home Support Program and is required to participate in an external quality review every three years.
MRC mayor Chris Bilkey welcomed the news: ‘‘Review processes are always a welcome step towards building confidence in services delivered via council,’’ he said. “It is important residents know they will always receive safe and appropriate aged care services via our programs.’’
