Medals aplenty in Maryborough

ECHUCA Moama was a busy place on the weekend.

For some, it meant getting out of the house and competing was a good option.

For others, getting out of town was the way to go.

For members of the Echuca Moama Little Athletics club, both were serious options.

Saturday morning saw the usual competition at the club.

But on Sunday, three locals went to the Maryborough centre to compete in further competition.

Nate Smith came home with firsts in the 200m, 100m and long jump and second in the 60m hurdles.

Lacey Smith claimed first in the shotput, second in the discus, and third in the 100m and 200m.

The third local competitior, Elijah Swiggs, claimed first in the shot put, discus, triple jump and long jump, as well as second in the 100m.
