Network chair John Hermans said they’d had good feedback about their Keeping Mentally Well brochures, which offer advice and local resources in a traffic light approach for mild to more serious mental health concerns.
“During COVID-19 times, it was a stressful period for a lot of people who couldn’t go to work, were trapped at home and were looking for advice on where to seek help,” he said.
“The Campaspe Murray Mental Health Network with huge support from Campaspe Primary Care Partnership put together these brochures.”
The Keep In Touch mobile van was on site for the morning tea; a co-designed project targeting people aged 12 to 17 to remove the stigma around mental health.
“We help (young people) link with other services in the region — it’s about promoting the local supports that are available, as well as the more critical helplines,” team leader Jasmine Price said.
The KIT van is able to attend events within the Loddon Campaspe area, for more information email kit.van@anglicarevic.org.au
The Keeping Mentally Well brochures were developed in partnership with Bendigo Health, Echuca Regional Health, Campaspe Shire Council, Murray River Council, Healthy Heart of Victoria, Njernda Aboriginal Corporation, Kyabram District Health and Rochester & Elmore District Health.
The brochures are available at local services, Campaspe Shire service centres and online at campaspepcp.com.au
