By Alex Gretgrix

THE Rochester Rotary Club invites anyone from Echuca and the surrounding district to their 21st annual Farm and Road Safety Expo tomorrow.

The free event is aimed at educating the community around safe handling of machinery, road rules, quad bikes, electrical safety, first aid and more.

The club is also shedding a light on the seriousness that toll road and farm incidents can not only have on the victims, but their families, friends and the community.

More than 600 students from 14 schools are set to attend the event, as well as teachers, carers and members of the community.

There will be a range of exhibitors in attendance including; Police, SES, CFA, REDHS, Bike Safety, Fonterra, HART Honda, St John Ambulance, Splash 'n' Learn to Swim, Life Saving Victoria, Echuca Vintage Machinery, Large Farm Machinery, Safety using a PTO, Maritime Safety, Coliban Water, Firearms Safety, Wild Life Rescue, McColl's Transport, Kyabram Vintage Engines and Machinery, Reptile Safety, Safety using Small Tools, Responsible Pet Ownership, Safety around Horses, School Crossing Supervisors and Safety around the School Bus.

These organisations will be there with hands-on activities and information on how to be safe in potentially dangerous situations.

Students will receive a 'show bag', which will contain pamphlets and brochures from exhibitors who are unable to attend the expo.

There will also be a free sausage sizzle available on the day.

The event will run from 10am until 2.30pm tomorrow at the Rochester Recreation Reserve.
