We have a busy and exciting calendar of exhibitions and workshops throughout the year to engage you and further information is available through emai.org.au and also on Instagram and Facebook.
It is our mission at The Foundry Art Space to promote the arts and provide opportunities for the community to take part in them.
What’s happening at the Foundry:Our members exhibition for 2019 in July was a resounding success.
Visitors to the Foundry were treated to a diverse range of 30 creative interpretations of the subject Murray River Evocations by local artists.
We will introduce some of them to you and the story behind their canvas over the coming weeks.
Our next exhibition on the calendar for this year is our special feature artist RimonaKedem, who will be supported by accomplished bronze sculptor Zoe Snyder.
This is an exhibition not to be missed, with opening night being held at 6pm on Friday, September 6 at the Foundry Art Space.
The exhibition will continue until October 6.
Rimona Kedem's workshop is sold out but Zoe will be holding a free demonstration on Saturday, September 7, from 9.15-10.15am to introduce us to the art of creating lost wax bronze sculptures.
Everyone is welcome to attend this exciting demonstration at the Foundry Art Space.
ARTY-FACT: Artist Leonardo Da Vinci was ambidextrous, so he could draw forwards and backwards with both hands simultaneously. Also an accomplished musician, he would write his music backwards to protect it. One of his famous paintings is the Mona Lisa. The masterpiece is painted on poplar wood measuring 77cm by 53cm, and in her right eye the initials of the artist appear: LV.
Go creatively.
