AN ECHUCA man has been arrested over the destruction of 10 parking meters and theft of cash boxes after a raid this week.

Detective Senior Constable Jason Hare of Echuca Criminal Investigation Unit said the 32-year-old was arrested after a search warrant on a Northern Hwy premises early Wednesday.
He has been charged with burglary, theft and criminal damage.
Repair and replacement costs of the parking meters, which were destroyed at the weekend, ranges from $50,000 to $100,000.
The man appeared in Echuca Magistrates Court on Wednesday where he was remanded in custody to appear in the same court on November 15.
