LOCAL industry, company and organisation heads are invited to a briefing on drug and alcohol issues in the workplace on Wednesday, October 9.
The event will be hosted by Regional Employers Alcohol and Drug Initiative (READI), a not-for-profit organisation aiming to support workplaces to become free from alcohol and drug related harm.
Held at the Moama Bowling Club boardroom, the briefing will focus on how READI can work with locals to best manage risk and compliance in regard to drug and alcohol
issues through:
● Education
● Policy development
● Drug and alcohol testing
● Treatment, support and counselling
“This Wednesday we have moved our board meeting to Moama for the afternoon,” board member Andrew Gibbs said.
“We are hosting local industry, company and organisational heads for a quick briefing on what we do and how we do it.
“READI is not-for-profit so you will find our services are made by business people for other business people to benefit from at a lower cost.”
The briefing will be held from 4.30pm to 5.30pm.
