Atkinson's store teamed up with Maddie's Chop Shop to donate all of their day's earnings to Burrum Buttock Hay Runners and several families just outside the NSW town of Eden.
The two stores raised a total of $1991, leaving them staggered with the response.
“It was amazing to see so many people getting involved,” Atkinson said.
“People were throwing in money even if we weren't providing them with one of our services.
“We're just hopeful even the smallest amount will be able to make a difference to those people in need.”
