Make a mess at the toy library

By Anna McGuinness

SLIMY goop, cloud dough and a mini car wash are in store for kids at the Echuca-Moama Toy Library.

The annual Messy Play Day is run by volunteers to encourage everyone to come along and see what the toy library is all about.

Echuca-Moama Toy Library committee treasurer Tara Horkings said everyone was welcome to come and have a look — and a play.

“We hope to get the name out into the community. We currently have 70 active members; it would be ideal to have more than 100 to make the library more viable,” she said. “Regardless, it’s just a super-fun day for big and little kids.”

There will be slimy spaghetti, outdoor action for older kids, water play plus a preloved toy sale and glitter tattoos.

Memberships are half-price for one day only, so bring the kids and dress for mess – and get ready for fun.

Entry is $5 per family; between 10am and noon on Saturday, March 14 at 34-36 Heygarth St, and bring your own water bottles.
