A MAN has been charged over an armed robbery in Echuca in March.
Detectives arrested Kade Mongta on Saturday, charging him with armed robbery, resisting arrest and several driving offences.
The 22-year-old’s arrest comes after a raid at a property on the corner of Sturt and Service streets late last month.
Detective Senior Constable Jason Hare of Echuca criminal investigation unit said Mongta was accused of using a small baseball bat to threaten a man in his 30s to sign over his car on March 18.
“The man suffered minor injuries,” he said.
“The vehicle was found in Service St in April and was impounded.”
DSC Hare said a 23-year-old man and 19-year-old woman have been charged with theft from bank accounts relating to the armed robbery.
A 20-year-old man was also charged with other matters, including drug possession.
Mongta was remanded in custody on Saturday before appearing in Bendigo Magistrates Court today, May 18.
He was further remanded to appear on August 5.
