A trip to Lily and Pearl has seen her net a cool $1000 as the final winner of the Forty Winks Shop Local promotion for 2020.
Glenda said the trip was to find a gift.
“I went to Lily and Pearl to buy a gift for my daughter,” she said.
“I remember filling in the form on the day, but didn't think a great deal about, so it was a great phone call to get to find out I had won.
“I'm incredibly grateful for everything, and I want to thank Lily and Pearl, as well as Forty Winks and the Riverine Herald for putting on the promotion and giving people the opportunity.
“It's fantastic to see the support for local businesses.”
Riverine Herald advertising manager Kristy Hayes said while the promotion was now over, local business needed the community's support more than ever.
“It's been fantastic during this period to see so many people supporting their local community,” she said.
“Businesses throughout our towns have so much to offer in terms of their range, but also in what they offer to the community through their service. They care a great deal about their customers and it really shows.
“With all the issues we are seeing of late, it's incredibly important for us to continue to support them. When you can, we encourage all of our residents to go to one of our local stores and spend some money, not only to look after the businesses themselves, but also to continue to support our local economy.
“We want to thank all of our 23 participating businesses for being a part of the Forty Winks Shop Local promotion, and we look forward to running a great campaign during the Christmas period.”
