Batteries stolen from Echuca digital display board

ECHUCA police are appealing for witnesses after batteries were stolen from a digital display board.

Thieves stole the batteries from the border closure sign on the Northern Hwy between Wednesday, August 5, and Friday, August 7.

Constable Vivienne Collins urged anyone who had information about car registration numbers, or descriptions of people acting suspiciously during this time to come forward.

“This would assist with our investigation,” she said.

The trailer holding the board has a registration number of Y57 381, serial # 15B02 and vin # 6L7DATSGNJS000094.
