The new estate, located 8km south of Echuca’s CBD at 592 Mary Ann Rd, has blocks more than one hectare in size available for purchase.
Tom Maher, the estate agent for the project, said the blocks had seen interest from locals and Melbourne buyers.
“There’s been interest in these blocks from all over, but there’s about a 50/50 percentage of locals and Melbourne buyers,” Mr Maher said.
“The best thing about these block is that they’re all at least one hectare, or a little bit larger, so two-and-a-half acres.
“They have town water, power, gas, one megalitre of rural water per block, NBN connections, and will be fully fenced with farm fencing.
“The benefit to the Campaspe Shire is the sealing of a number of roads out here and the improving of infrastructure.”
Campaspe Shire Council development general manager Paul McKenzie said the multi-lot subdivision was approved by the council in November 2020, with 44 subdivisions: 43 available for purchase, and one remaining with the current owners.
“This approval allowed for the creation of 44 lots, varying from one to two hectares in size,” he said.
“Officers have approved all of the plans to allow the development to commence.
“This is the first land to be developed in an area that council rezoned, allowing for smaller lots in a Rural Living Zone.”
