Echuca residents have embraced the opportunity to build their new home at Yallarah.
Yallarah developer Wel.Co said interest had been overwhelming and beyond expectation, with more than 1400 inquiries for home sites since launching in April.
“We’ve been thrilled by the number of inquiries we’ve had for Yallarah,” Wel.Co founder and former AFL footballer Andrew Welsh said.
“Up until now, there has been minimal land available in Echuca and we’re proud to be able to give Echuca residents the opportunity to build their new home and carve out a new chapter in Echuca’s rich history.”
Set to be one of regional Victoria’s biggest developments, Yallarah will include several architecturally designed playgrounds and parks, a network of cycling and walking paths and wetlands.
The name Yallarah means ‘cheerful’ and ‘beyond the horizon’; the emphasis at Yallarah is on an active, outdoor lifestyle that caters to everyone, something that has been top of mind throughout planning.
Yallarah will also include Echuca’s biggest display village, with a number of national builders on display.
“We’re excited to be working with and to bring some of the country’s best-known builders to the area,” Mr Welsh said, noting that with home site sizes up to 2000 sq m, Yallarah catered for all buyers.
Local resident and Yallarah sales consultant Lerreace Camenzuli said Yallarah was an exciting development for the region.
“I feel privileged to be working on the Yallarah project and take pride in knowing what a great community it will become,” she said.
“I’m ecstatic to be a member of the Wel.Co team, learning of their philosophy regarding building new communities and unlocking better lives.”
The first stages at Yallarah will be released in June, with construction expected to begin towards the end of the year.
