Thick black smoke filled the sky above the centre of Echuca this morning as a car was destroyed by fire.

Echuca Fire Brigade crews were called to a fire in a Hare St, Echuca, car park about 10.45am on Saturday, June 27.
Two CFA tankers, along with a CFA ute, and Victoria Police officers attended the Coles car park responding to calls of a car on fire.
Echuca members inspect the car to ensure the fire is out.

Police closed the road at the Darling-Hare St roundabout, and part way up Hare St towards the McKinlay St intersection.
When the fire in the sedan was first noticed, attempts were made to put it out with fire extinguishers as emergency services were called.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious and no one was injured in the incident.
