Was Jesus a real person who lived on Earth thousands of years ago?
For me, Jesus is significant to the Christian faith and the Bible.
Most people today are familiar with the Bible verse John Chapter 3 verse 16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Jesus is the one who took upon Himself our sins on the cross, allowing us to be reconciled with God.
This is how He became my saviour, and He can become yours too if you should choose to believe in Him and ask Him to be your saviour.
Jesus teaches us through miracles, death and victory over the grave.
These teachings taught in the Bible shape the core doctrinal beliefs about redemption, purpose and the destiny of humanity.
Jesus is not only a historical or divine figure but also a personal companion, friend and Lord.
He is the foundation of faith, the rock upon which life is built and the ultimate source of wisdom, honour and joy.
Engaging with Him daily through prayer, reflection and obedience allows believers to experience His transformative power and guidance in every aspect of life.
To me, Jesus is more than a saviour; Jesus is my friend.
He showed us how to live by being kind to the poor, helping the sick, feeding the hungry, being truthful, teaching others and much more.
Jesus being my friend is very real to me; I feel His presence in my daily life.
In John Chapter 10 verse 14, Jesus declares: “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep, and my sheep know me.”
Jesus knows me by name.
That is pretty exciting.
I am known to Jesus; he cares for me, as a shepherd cares for his sheep. Not only does Jesus know me, but I also know Jesus.
I encourage you to reflect on your own relationship with Jesus and to deepen your understanding of His friendship with you.
May you be reminded today of the unconditional love and support that Jesus offers to all who choose to follow Him.
