Farmers find quick fix

Under the “good faith” deal, Victorian Farmers Federation members can submit requests for priority processing of visas for workers have already applied for a WHM visa, have a job, and whose arrival is crucial to business operations.

The VFF will submit eligible requests to the National Farmers’ Federation, which will forward them to the Department of Home Affairs.

Though requests won’t guarantee timely processing or visa approval, the VFF has welcomed the agreement and committed to continue advocating for a long-term solution that meets the agriculture’s sectors ongoing needs.
