News Footpath delay questioned By Letter to the Editor Aug 18, 2026 Dear Editor, Hold tight - we’re checking permissions before loading more content I would like to ask why are a section of Hardinge St ratepayers not receiving a new footpath like the rest of the ratepayers? I have phoned (council) and asked, but no return call has been made. Our section is a well trodden footpath to Coles etc and also well used by runners, walkers and strollers. All the necessary equipment is on site now. It will be a huge waste of ratepayers’ money to recall it all later. Somewhere, a ridiculous decision has been made. Give us - the ratepayers of a section of Hardinge St - our much needed, new footpath along with the rest. Yours etc. Gail Williams Deniliquin
