The formal dinner and fundraising event will be staged in Echuca on Friday to raise money for Kyabram people living with cancer.
The formal dinner and gala fundraiser will be held in collaboration with The Kyabram Gift, the Otis Foundation and Dillmac Entertainment.
Born from the idea of performing for charity, Dillmac director and The Gift chair Liz Dillon created the event to dually showcase Dillmac talents and raise awareness and proceeds for The Gift supporting local people through cancer and the Otis Foundation, a national charity providing retreat accommodation at no cost to people experiencing breast cancer and their loved ones.
Liz said she hoped to sell more than 100 tickets to the fundraiser, which she expected to become an annual event.
Dillmac students will perform on the night to raise funds to go towards the costings of their musical, Godspell, to be held at Echuca Paramount for one night on Thursday, May 16.
‘‘With a cast of only 24, each cast member has been chosen carefully from across three levels of performing arts classes from Kyabram and Echuca Dillmac Entertainment Group,’’ Liz said.
‘‘The night promises to offer a fantastic dining experience, opportunities to win various locally donated prizes and vouchers, sensational local talent and it’ll finish off with a great musical trio the patrons can dance the night away to.’’
The event will be held at Radcliffes on Friday from 6.30pm until midnight.
Tickets cost $90, which includes dinner, musical entertainment, auctions and raffles and speeches from The Gift and Dillmac representatives as well as a local group of women who will be walking the Great Wall of China to raise funds for the Otis Foundation.
The main auction item is an $1800 Hummer limo trip donated by Stardust Limos.
