From lollipop to legacy: Christine’s final day

Her commitment to community service has made a lasting impact, with some of the children she once helped now returning with children of their own, still greeted by Christine’s steady presence at the crossing.

With the newly installed pedestrian crossing lights now operating, the crossing has transitioned to a 24‑hour signalised system.

Over recent weeks, Christine has been helping students learn how to use the new technology safely - a final reflection of the care she has shown throughout her time in the role.

Christine is happy to be finishing up and is looking forward to pursuing other interests after two decades of early mornings and split shifts.
