And all it takes is a trip to Allan St.
The annual St Vincent De Paul toy drive is back, aiming to fill the space under Christmas trees for Kyabram families struggling to make ends meet this holiday season.
In a joint effort to support local families, Vinnies volunteers have teamed up with Kyabram’s Lotto and Toys, with director Miles Gould committed to matching every donation.
“There’s been some really generous people, and it doesn’t matter whether it’s $10 or $100, it’s just all appreciated,” Mr Gould said.
St Vincent De Paul Kyabram co-ordinator Nola Livsey said the charity creates a list of local families who need an extra hand during the festive season.
The list is passed on to Mr Gould, who uses the donated funds to select gifts specific to the age and interests of each child.
Once the toys are picked out, the Vinnies volunteers take over in December, delivering the presents to families in time for Christmas.
Locals wishing to support the drive can make a cash donation at Kyabram Lotto and Toys on Allan St until the end of November.
