For less than the cost of your morning coffee, you can grow yourself a windbreak.
The Campaspe Shire Rural Tree Scheme is back, and residents are invited to cash in and contribute to environmental health.
Those with property in the farm, rural living, or rural conservation zones can snag themselves up to 160 indigenous seedlings at $1.30 a pop.
The plants come with a commitment, with council staff able to visit properties to ensure they’re being adequately cared for.
Property owners are encouraged to plan planting projects in advance and visit McKindlay’s Riverine Nursery in Moama to discuss what seedlings are best suited to their land.
