Applications must meet a range of criteria, including being alcohol, smoke and drug free, accessible to all young people, based in the Campaspe Shire and held prior to November 30.
Councillor Tony Marwood encouraged groups to apply for a Youth Activity Grant as soon as possible.
“The Youth Activity Grants have been created thanks to the state government Office of Youth’s Engage! funding we received earlier this year. Some fantastic programs and events are being produced from this funding pool,” he said.
“These grants are a timely opportunity for Campaspe’s young people, promoting youth participation, youth development and youth celebration. Following the social disconnect we experienced throughout the pandemic, events that bring our young people together have never been so important.
“With up to $500 available, Youth Activity Grants could be used for a variety of activities; movie or games nights, art exhibitions, musical performances, sporting events, even bus trips. There just needs to be a youth-led focus.”
Applications for the grants must be submitted by Friday, June 17.
To apply, go to council’s website and complete an online application form.
