Murray League U14s — Moama 10.13 (73) def. Barooga 1.0 (6)
The long trip to Barooga was well worth the drive for the young Magpies on the weekend, with the team putting on a fantastic display to record a strong win.
With an emphasis on starting well, the Magpies maintained control of the footy, locking it in their forward half for much of the quarter, while kicking a couple of crafty goals too.
Strong starts from Lachie Hogan and Noah Langborne were vital, while Jordan Meager played with real passion.
Another strong quarter in the second further solidified our position in the game, with most of the play being kept at our offensive end.
Zac McKenzie was lively around half forward, causing issues for his opposition.
With Barooga looking to fight back in the third, the boys held their nerve well, with the defenders putting in another solid display.
Grant Hope led from the front, while Jonte played another solid game.
The final quarter saw the Magpies put the foot down, scoring another four unanswered goals to finish the game in impressive fashion.
Hudson played a fantastic final term, to give our midfielders first use in the centre, while the forwards did well to keep the ball locked in our forward line.
Overall, a very impressive win with four good quarters of football.
