Launched in Kyabram there are now M+S offices in Echuca and Shepparton as well – delivering blanket coverage of the Goulburn Valley.
Still locally owned, the accounting and financial planning firm hosted a special staff celebration at its Kyabram headquarters this week.
The event brought together more than 50 staff and guests from all three branches to mark the occasion.
Senior partner Michael Connick said what began in Kyabram six decades ago had evolved into a trusted regional firm supporting generations of clients through changing economic conditions, industry developments and family milestones.
Mr Connick said M+S Group continued to provide accounting, taxation, financial planning and business advisory services while investing in the next generation of leadership to ensure the business remained strong for decades to come.
He said this anniversary was an opportunity to reflect on the firm’s journey and thank the people who made it possible.
“Sixty years in business is not something which happens by accident,” Mr Connick said.
“It is the result of generations of clients placing their trust in us, dedicated staff who have built careers with our firm, and communities which have supported us every step of the way,” he said.
“While much had changed since the firm’s early beginnings, the purpose of the business remained the same.
“Technology, regulations and the way we work have changed dramatically in the past six decades, but our commitment to helping people build successful futures has remained constant.
“We are incredibly proud to be locally owned, but we are equally excited about what comes next.”
Mr Connick said the celebration also recognised the important role regional communities had played in the firm’s success.
He said the milestone also coincided with the firm’s continued investment in future leaders, following the appointment of a new generation of associates, who have become equity holders in the business and are helping shape its future direction.
