A Toyota Landcruiser was found burnt out after ploughing into a tree on Kotupna-Barmah Rd yesterday.

At 8.37am, Victoria Police were called regarding a car that was on fire.
The police and Kotupna firefighters attended the scene and had the fire under control by 10am.
The Cobram Criminal Investigative Unit’s Detective Sergeant Marcus Boyd said his station was looking to the matter.
“We are currently making inquiries about where the vehicle has come from,” he said.
Although it was possibly a stolen car, Det Sgt Boyd said it was too early to confirm.
The forensics team attended the scene and believes the matter to be suspicious.
“There are number of avenues of inquiry that we’ll be looking at regarding the incident,” he said.
Det Sgt Boyd is asking for anyone in the area with information, or who saw a suspicious vehicle along the Murray Valley Hwy on Thursday to please contact Cobram Police.
Damage to school oval
Echuca Police are appealing for information in relation to damage caused by a vehicle to the oval surface at 208 (Echuca) Primary School sometime overnight on Thursday, August 10, or the early hours of Friday, August 11.

Operation Cyclops
Campaspe Police have launched Operation Cyclops, which is aimed at ensuring safe vehicles are travelling on local roads through the winter months.
During the coming weeks you will see an increased police presence targeting unsafe vehicles in Echuca, Kyabram, Rochester, Elmore, Rushworth, Stanhope, Tongala and Gunbower.
Police are urging motorists to ensure their car is in a roadworthy condition, with working lights, visible number plates, mirrors and tyres are not bald.
NSW Police to welcome new faces
The NSW Police will welcome 159 new probationary constables when Class 359 attests at the Goulburn Police Academy on Friday, August 18.
NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb will welcome the new recruits, while Chief Inspector Paul Smith will also march off the parade ground during the formal ceremony, as he retires from the force after 39 years of service.

Burglary and theft investigation
Police are investigating an alleged business burglary and theft that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, August 16, in Church St, Kyabram.
A quantity of Makita tools was stolen and police are seeking any witnesses who may have seen a dark-coloured ute in the area to contact Echuca Police on (03) 5483 1500 or Crime stoppers on 1800 333 000.
