There’s a massive $5000 in cash and gift card prizes for shoppers who choose to spend their Christmas dollars with local businesses.
Running for eight weeks in the lead-up to Christmas, starting from November 1 and with the first of the prize draws taking place on November 6.
“The promotion aims to encourage residents to support the stores, services and family-owned businesses that help keep Deniliquin thriving year-round,” Pastoral Times general manager Nigel Lutton said.
“Every dollar spent locally helps strengthen the community, support local jobs and ensure businesses can continue giving back long after the festive season is over.
“This year, the giveaway is bigger than ever, featuring more weekly draws and more chances to win.”
From November through to the week before Christmas, lucky shoppers will share in cash prizes ranging from $100 to $500, before one fortunate winner takes home the $3000 major prize at the Mayor's Community Christmas Party on Friday, December 18.
The promotion begins on Sunday, November 1, and shoppers can enter simply by making a purchase at a participating business.
Customers receive one ticket for every $25 spent, up to a maximum of 10 tickets per transaction, giving everyone plenty of opportunities to enter while ticking off their Christmas shopping list.
Prize draws will be held weekly, building excitement right through the festive season, as follows:
• November 6 - $100
• November 13 - $200
• November 20 - $300
• November 27 - $400
• December 4 - $500
• December 11 - $500
• December 18 - $3,000 major prize
