An Echuca homeowner has stopped a solar panel fire from spreading, extinguishing the blaze before firefighters arrived earlier this afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the property in Riverview Crt after a small fire broke out on the roof about 1.40pm.
Echuca West Fire Brigade Captain George Calleja said the homeowner, who is an electrician, was able to quickly put out the fire before crews reached the scene.
His quick actions prevented the blaze from spreading further, with firefighters remaining at the property as a precaution.
Echuca CFA crews also responded to the incident but were not needed.
