Sweet Felicia, of Sweet Felicia and the Honeytones, is no stranger to the Echuca-Moama Winter Blues Festival, having performed at the festival so many times she has lost count of when she first appeared.

“In Sweet Felicia and the Honeytones, this year we have Eddie Boyle on harmonica, John Brockton on drums and Mark Greenway on guitar, so we are a four-piece this time,” she said.
The band was among the first to perform this year, taking the stage on Thursday, July 23.
“We did two one-hour sets, so we played right through until 8.30pm, and I wasn't really expecting too many people on a Thursday night because it was the first night,” she said.
The crowd, however, defied expectations.
“Because the Echuca Hotel has set up the big donga out the back with the stage and everything, a huge stage, lighting, sound, it’s just beautiful, and people came out,” she said.
“It was a cold night, but they were all rugged up and like a sea of people, all squashed together watching us and it was absolutely fabulous.”
“The vibe was absolutely incredible and there was just so much love, it was great.
“It was one of the biggest gigs I have done for ages.”
On Friday, Sweet Felicia and the Honeytones performed at the races alongside Jimmy Hocking's Blues Machine and Pete Campbell and the Lazy Dog.
“It is always a nice day to look out on the green, watch the horses, see the beautiful blue Echuca skies and play some music,” she said.

Among the acts she is most eager to see, at this year’s Winter Blues is a collaboration between Jeff Lang and Dom Turner.
“I know both of them, and have seen their bands separately, but in collaboration, I think that they are going to be amazing,” she said.
She is also looking forward to seeing Kathleen Halloran and young Charlie Bedford, whom she mentored through Youth in Blues in Melbourne.
“I remember him when he was 12 or 13, coming along with his guitar, and he was always very respectful, on time and doing his work, his practice,” she said.
Sweet Felicia and the Honeytones play the Caledonian Hotel on Saturday, July 25 at 2pm and the Star Hotel on Sunday, July 26 at 2.30pm.
