Often we will have memories of heading down as children, ready to take in all the amazing sights the show has to offer.
You want to have a go on every ride you're tall enough to go on, eat every piece of food possible and buy every show bag you can convince your parents to get.
You also get to make your way through the aisles of the show shed, pointing out your artwork to family and friends with hopes it may have won a prize.
You can still make these memories come to life, maybe even with your kids at this year's Great Northern Show in Rochester.
On February 21 and 22, you'll get the chance to live out your childhood dreams or if that's not what you're looking to do, there's something there for everyone.
The Rochester Show committee invites anyone and everyone to attend this long-running event, which has been on the community's calendar for more than 130 years.
This year's schedule is jam-packed with kids activities, competitions, rides. demonstrations and so much more.
Friday night will run from 5.30 until 10pm and will feature some great acts and activities.
You'll be able to feast your eyes on a whip cracking demonstration from Stewart Bryant and his horse, a casting competition for those pro-fisherman out there and a ute and car show and shine.
If you're a fan of tractors, you're in luck with the static tractor pull also on the night.
There will also be activities for older kids, a firework display and a bar for all the adults to enjoy.
You can also walk through Sideshow Alley where the kids will be able to take part in classic show games and buy their long-awaited show bags.
Saturday is a full-on day starting from 7am and running until 4pm.
All the agriculture enthusiasts will be in their element this day of the event with the all-day Ag Show.
People will be able to immerse themselves in the worlds of cattle, goats, chicken, working dogs and more.
There will be trails and competitions for working dogs and cattle, with the cattle section being the qualifying event for the Melbourne Show.
Those athletic children of yours will be able to set free on a blow up obstacle course as part of the kids carnival that will run from 11am.
The carnival will also feature a petting zoo, reptile display, bike track and of course food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.
Over the whole two days, you'll be able to take a walk through the Homecraft Pavilion.
This will be where you'll be able to see work submitted by local kids, students and anyone else in the community who wants to show off their skills in cooking, crochet, photography, horticulture and everything in between.
The local CFA and SES will also run displays with the chance for people to donate funds to each of the organisations.
There will be a chance for anyone who wants to help out those affected by bushfires by donating to Compassion (helping koalas at Mallacoota) and Bush Heritage Australia.
So head on down to the Rochester Show Grounds for a weekend of fun.
