Ask anyone at Moama and District Preschool and the answer is simple; snags, scales, slime and sugary surprises.
Generations of families descended on the preschool’s Bushland Drive campus for an afternoon of 50th birthday celebrations.
All eras of the centre’s history were represented, from a founding member of the preschool’s committee to three-year-olds at the very start of their educational journey.

Youngsters (and a few adventurous adults) were treated to a litany of activities including face painting, bubble blowing and visiting farm animals.
The event concluded with a cake cutting where veteran early childhood educator Narelle Blachford thanked everyone for their support, showed off the centre’s soon-to-be-buried time capsule, and led the crowd in a rendition of Happy Birthday.
