The result was celebrated by the local volunteer organisation this week, with members thanking the community, sponsors and supporters who helped make the event a success despite challenging wet and muddy conditions.
Volunteers say the fundraiser would make a significant difference to local families facing cancer treatment.
Every dollar raised by the branch stays within the community, helping residents meet the financial challenges often associated with treatment, including travel, accommodation and other out-of-pocket expenses.
Last financial year alone, Can Assist Deniliquin provided about $100,000 in support to local cancer patients.

The $24,000 raised at the Muster will help continue that work.
The organisation paid tribute to the Deni Ute Muster for once again selecting Can Assist Deniliquin as one of its supported charities and acknowledged the many businesses and individuals who contributed to the event's success - particularly Wild Harvest Yabbies, and auctioneers Geoff McCallum and Jason Andrews who helped drive fundraising throughout the day.
