The Echuca Pirates will have to add a major road trip to their schedule for the 2019-20 season, with the Bacchus Marsh Lions - situated nearly two-and-a half hours south of Echuca - added to the men's conference for the season.
The Pirates will have to wait until round 12 to see their new opponent's floor, as part of a three-game stretch across two rounds that also includes trips to Mildura and Castlemaine.
The Pirates will begin their premiership defence on the road against Kyneton on October 12.
The side will have their first home stint on October 19 against grand final opponents Mildura, with a likely banner raising of their 18-19 title.
Echuca's Lady Pirates have followed the senior Pirates lead, making the jump from the North East to the newly established North West conference.
The new five-team conference includes Bendigo, Swan Hill, Kyneton and Maryborough, who all featured alongside the Pirates in the previous North East division.
The Lady Pirates will open their season on the road at Kyneton, before having their first home game at Echuca Stadium against Maryborough on October 19.
