After going through the home-and-away season undefeated, the Cats suffered a shock loss in the second semi-final against Elmore two weeks ago.
But they immediately bounced back to earn a place in the grand final and from the first centre pass on Saturday they never looked like being beaten.
In the end their determination was enough to power them to a nine-goal victory against Elmore.
"It is very exciting to have got the reward for all of our hard work," coach Stacy Bacon.
"The girls showed a lot of character to bounce back from the loss because they could have quite easily dropped their heads.
"There was a great shift in mentality from the first game and you could see it from the beginning.
"The way they responded is going to be massive for the way they playing moving forward."
Goal shooter Maddison McInnes starred for the Cats, after she was awarded the best on court medal.
"Maddison is a beautiful shot on goal who always make the most of her chances," Bacon said.
"But I thought she worked well with our other attacker, Kirsty (Nichol) in and around the circle.
"The way they played was completely different from the first game and I think that played a big role in us being able to get the win."
Bacon said she would like to thank Melinda Jones, Narelle Bacon, Olivia Stone and Sarah Jones for all of their support throughout the season.
