Turner joins the Cats with vast experience having worked at state level in NSW, while having coached Goulburn Valley League side Mooroopna and Kyabram and District outfit Tallyagroopna since relocating to Victoria.
Season 2019 was one to forget for LBU who claimed the A grade wooden spoon with just one win to their name.
And Turner said there was no reason to panic because every club had been through a rebuilding phase in the past.
“There's going to be ups and downs throughout next season but it's all part of the process,” she said.
“Unfortunately it isn't always easy to get out of these periods in a short period of time but we will be doing everything we can.
“After a couple of years away from the game because of work commitments I'm excited to get stuck back into it.
“Hopefully all our hard work during pre-season will translate into some wins. I already know everyone is excited for the season to start.”
On paper, the future looks bright for LBU's netball program after their under 15 side comprehensively won the 2019 premiership.
But Turner said she would be taking a patient approach with the club's young guns.
“We don't want to throw them in the deep end and then they lose all their confidence,” she said.
“My job as coach is to help prepare them for senior netball on a full-time basis and I'm looking forward to working with all of our juniors.
“If we don't build on what we already have, then the club may not have a future in netball.”
