The Goulburn Valley Veterans Golf Association, at this time, is unable to resume the 2020 syllabus under the revised emergency health restrictions announced on May 11.
Although golf clubs have been able to make adjustments to resume play for local golfers these arrangements would not work for the gatherings of GVVGA.
There is a possibility that GVVGA events may be played under stage 3 of the current “relaxation plan,” and the indications are that stage 3 could be introduced in July 2020.
Our scheduled program at Merrigum on June 1 and Hill Top on June 22 have been cancelled.
It is probable that further cancellations will follow.
The GVVGA Committee will review its position when new announcements are made by the State Health Authorities as recommendations are subject to constant review and may change.
We would like to thank our sponsors for their continued support throughout this crisis and ensure our host clubs that we will do our best to support them now and into the future.
