Moama and EDNA work for netball program

NETBALL may yet be played in NSW this season.

The Moama Football and Netball Club has entered into a partnership with Echuca District Netball Association with the goal of seeing a season for NSW players.

The club announced the news on its Facebook page on Saturday night.

“When the MFNL competition could not go ahead, our junior netballers turned their sights to a season at EDNA. Being able to stick together, train and develop in a local comp was a fantastic opportunity,” a statement read.

"However, due to current restrictions, NSW residents are currently unable to travel to Victoria to participate in sport.
"To try to help with the situation, the MFNC are working with EDNA to try to host a Moama-based competition.
"This would be for all NSW residents under the age of 18 who are interested in playing.
"Once interested player numbers are finalised for Moama, more information will be sent out if a competition is possible.
"Thank you for you patience and understanding as we navigate our way through the change in restrictions.
"For our MFNC players registered to play this season at EDNA, your coach will be in contact soon with further details."
Players can register their interest by emailing EDNA at [email protected] or phoning 5480 1725.
