The late afternoon clash saw a defining first half give Picola the ascendancy, making it difficult for Mathoura to muster a comeback.

Mathoura did a little better in the second, improving to eight, but United continued to stretch its lead, ahead 17 at the major break.
The Blues provided more of the same after the break, scoring a consistent 13 in each period, while the Cutters managed only nine a term, Picola United scoring the win 51-26.

The side now sits at the base of an undefeated quartet at the top of the table, while Mathoura is narrowly on the bottom by goal differential.
The Blues will be bullish about another success this weekend as they travel to winless Blighty, while the Timbercutters may have more difficulty in store as they visit 3-0 Waaia.
