Part of a rotation of tournaments hosted across the Northern region, the tournament featured local EDNA sides as well as representative teams from nearby associations Shepparton and Kyabram or from leagues including the Goulburn Valley League, Murray league and Heathcote District league.
Hundreds of junior netballers battled wet conditions for the annual tournament.
Heavy rain made for difficult going in the morning matches at the Echuca South courts and the inclement weather persisted throughout the day.
Junior sides from 11-and-under to 17-and-under competed in rapid seven-minute halves, with 30-second half-time breaks, in a sectional stage followed by finals rounds.

The host association had some strong results in sectional play, but wasn’t able to break through for a final appearance in any of the grades.
EDNA’s 15-under Navy squad had the best result, topping its section, while 13-under Blue came second and 13-under Yellow third in their respective groups.

The Goulburn Valley League Gold side in the 15-and-under championship division was the only squad with local connections to have success in the finals, winning the division 14-7 over Sunraysia.
EDNA will have another of its major events in a week’s time, as it hosts its annual primary school tournament on Friday, May 29.
