Moama all-rounder Russell Stockdale features in the Northern Rivers region Team of the Year.
The Northern Rivers cricket region has released its men’s and women’s teams of the year, with the local region well represented in the squads.

The teams cover performances over the 2025-26 season and are selected from the member associations teams of the year.
The Northern Rivers region includes local association Goulburn Murray Cricket, as well as Cricket Shepparton, Bendigo District Cricket Association, Seymour District Cricket Association, Emu Valley Cricket Association, Upper Loddon Cricket Association and the Murray Valley Cricket Association.
In the men’s team, premier Moama had two multi-discipline contributors chosen in the middle order.
Russell Stockdale was selected at six, after making 604 runs at 43.14 and taking 33 wickets at 11 during the season.
Kobyn James pulls on the gloves for the team of the year after 25 catches and six stumpings, also contributing 500 runs at 71.43.
Delaney Laffy was selected in the women’s side after averaging more than 100 in the GMCW season.
The women’s team of the year, selected from three associations, had Moama and Echuca players featured.
Moama’s Delaney Laffy bats at three after a powerful 311 runs at an average of 103.67, also taking 16 wickets at 6.25.
Teammate Jordan Dalziel is selected at eight off the back of 22 wickets at 5.77, while Echuca’s Sophie Good’s 18 wickets at 11.06 and 120 runs at 17.14 also earned her a place.
The new Goulburn Murray Cricket season will begin in October.
