Swan Max Clohesy is enduing a two-match ban for intentionally or carelessly engaging in rough conduct against an opponent in the Swans’ round six clash against Seymour.
Graded careless conduct, high contact and high impact, the match review panel handed down a three-match suspension, which was downgraded to two following an early guilty plea.
He will miss the Swans’ round eight clash with Mansfield.
Seymour continued to find itself involved in the cross hairs of opponents on the weekend against Echuca, with a senior player from each club copping whacks from the MRO.
Lion Angus Hart reduced a two-match ban to one after accepting an early guilty plea for intentionally or carelessly bumping or making forceful contact to an opponent from front on when the player has their head over the ball.
Hart’s contact was deemed high with medium impact and careless conduct, and was reported by the umpire during play at Kings Park on Saturday.
However, Echuca’s Curtis Townrow, who was named as the Murray Bombers’ best in the round seven loss, avoided being sanctioned with a two-match ban, overturning a charge for intentionally or carelessly engaging in rough conduct against an opponent.
The incident was graded careless conduct, high contact and medium impact, but Townrow was found not guilty at the tribunal.
Townrow is free to play after the bye in the Murray Bombers’ round eight clash against ladder-leader Shepparton, while Seymour’s Hart will miss the Lions’ fixture against Mooroopna.
