In the Goulburn Valley League, Echuca faces Mansfield on Saturday at Mansfield Recreation Reserve, both Murray Bombers teams looking to extend winning streaks, with senior football at 2pm and A-grade netball from 2.15pm.
In the Murray league, Echuca United has two contrasting clashes against Congupna on Saturday at Congupna Recreation Reserve, the Eagles up against the league leader in football at 2pm, while the netballers have a winnable match-up at 1.30pm against the bottom-placed side.
Echuca United returns to the netball court on Saturday with a meeting away to bottom-placed Congupna.
Meanwhile, both Tongala and Mulwala clashes on Saturday at Lonsdale Oval will be between finals contenders, senior football starting at 2pm and A-grade netball from 1.30pm.
Other Murray league club Moama has a bye this weekend.
In the Heathcote District Football Netball League, Lockington-Bamawm United will play White Hills on Saturday at Lockington Recreation Reserve, both Cats sides looking to bounce back from losses, with football at 2.20pm and netball from 2.30pm.
Leitchville-Gunbower is on the road to Heathcote at Barrack Reserve on Saturday, with the fourth-placed Bombers facing the sixth-placed Saints in football at 2.20pm, while Leitchville will hope to break a six-game losing streak in netball at 3pm.
Finally, to the Picola and District Football Netball League, where Picola United is up against Dookie United at Picola Recreation Reserve on Saturday, the Blues looking for a first football victory since round five at 2.05pm, while their netball side seeks a return to the winners’ list at 1.30pm.
Mathoura travels to face Strathmerton at Strathmerton Recreation Reserve on Saturday, looking for a first win across both codes, with senior football beginning at 2.05pm and A-grade netball from 1.30pm.
Soccer
Echuca-Moama Border Raiders’ men’s side is at home again this Saturday in the Football Victoria Greater Bendigo League 2, looking to extend a five-game winning streak against Castlemaine Goldfields Green.
The women are also playing Castlemaine this weekend, travelling for a 1pm start at Chewton Soldiers Memorial Park on Sunday as they eye a third straight win.
Women’s football
Moama’s women’s side travels to Nathalia Recreation Reserve on Friday to take on Nathalia, the Magpies seeking a seventh straight win, with the first bounce at 7pm.
Meanwhile, Moama’s youth girls are in action against Shepparton United at Deakin Reserve on Sunday, the fixture at noon being a top-of-the-table clash, as the Magpies sit first and the Demons are second.
Elsewhere, Echuca United’s youth girls will host Golden Square at Echuca South Recreation Reserve on Sunday from 11am in the Central Victoria Football League, the Eagles looking to snap a three-game losing streak.
Hockey
All four Echuca-Moama Hockey Club sides are playing at Shepparton Regional Hockey Complex on Saturday, headlined by the women taking on Shepparton Strikers at 2.45pm as they seek consecutive wins for the first time this season.
The River Rats men are facing Shepparton Youth Club Blue at 1.15pm, which will be a challenge against the side currently third on the ladder.
