As expected, P*ssheads proved too good for The Shoeless, however I would never have expected the result to be 11-0.
Hasbeens easily took care of Pastoral Phoenix, beating them 8-3, and in the closest match of the night, 26 Jets overcame Double Trouble with a winning score of 7-4. Misfits had the bye.
Pastoral Pirates went on their winning way with a resounding 10-1 win against Tonny’s Dart Devils, while The Recyclables were too good against Ocheholics coming home with a 7-4 win.
There has been a technical glitch with the game between Cockadoos and Sore & Achey and the 8-3 win I’ve given Cockadoos is only an estimate given that I was advised of three different scores from three different players.
I’m fairly certain we can rectify the problem and the outcome will be amended if need be. Pastoral Warriors had the bye.
Individual highlights- First Division
Shane Broucek headed the ton list and the highest peg, although he shared both.
Shane and Marcus McKenner both had 7 tons, and John Van Roy, along with Shane, had the highest pegs of 82.
Darren Manners had the highest average with 21.78 and the shortest leg in 19 darts. Zeb Boslam threw the only 180.
Second Division
Karlo Torlao was again the prominent player in division two.
He shared the most tons with George Thornley and Chris Gritty, all with six each.
He had the best average with 18.39 and the highest peg with a mighty 110.
Karlo also had a 21-dart game; however, he was beaten in this category by Ollie McMinn who threw a 20 dart game.
I don’t have any stats for the players from Cockadoos or Sore & Achey because of the glitch mentioned above.

EMDA open doubles
On March 19, we will be holding our Open Doubles Championships.
Just reminding everyone that this is “open” to current EMDA playing members only.
Any non-members wishing to play will be required to pay a joining fee of $40.00 as we now have to pay a $30.00 affiliation fee to Darts Victoria for each of our members.
Dartconnect
Just on the glitch above, it seems that the Galaxy A9+ scoring tablet may not have been properly connected to the internet, even though it appeared to be functioning normally.
I’m hoping that the game details are still in the tablet's memory and that we can upload all the details soon.
If you are in a venue where their Wi-Fi is a bit dodgy, it might be advisable to connect to your phone’s personal hotspot. Just something to think about.
Meat raffle
Sam Betts and Fran Seaton came along last week to oversee the raffle and will be well-equipped to ensure that it runs smoothly while I am overseas.
Please, if you are asked to take on the role of selling tickets, take up the request.
We can’t afford to lose the valuable source of funding from the more than generous patrons of the Pastoral Inn Hotel.
John Higgins, who has helped me from the start, will be there to assist in any way necessary.
