After dropping all three rinks to Rochester last week, Kyabram division one got back on track in the Campaspe Playing Area weekend pennant.
The Redbacks picked up maximum points away at Moama, taking two rinks by strong margins and escaping with a narrower victory in the third.
Kelvin Wiffen skipped Ky’s best rink, prevailing by seven shots, 22-15.
The win prevents the Steamers from reaching a 3-0 start, meaning there are no undefeated sides in the competition.
Both clubs are part of a group of five 2-1 sides alongside Stanhope, Tongala and Deniliquin.
Tonny had a big win this week, also securing all 16 points in a 69-46 victory over Rochester.
Jack Hammond anchored Tongala’s best win, his quartet coming out on top 22-13.
Echuca has work to do in its title defence after Stanhope handed the champion its second loss 16-66 to 0-39.
Gregory Fitzpatrick boosted Stanhope’s margin as his rink won 25-10.
Kyabram hosts Echuca in the next round, while Tongala and Stanhope will clash in Tonny.
