MERRIGUM BOWLS 1-3-20

Now the season is over we seem to be twice as busy. On Sunday we had a big day at Bunnings and we really appreciate the work Bunnings do for the community. We had a willing band of workers and this makes it an enjoyable day for all. We were pleased with the final figure. Well done everybody!

The club championship pairs were won by Joe Chant and Rob Dennis who had a comfortable win against Peter Hoare and David Pettifer. We are now trying to finish off the 100 up so please see when you are playing your rounds.

I have booked for six for the caravan trip, but this could be seven if everything works out well for one lady.

Today we host the Lions and Hinchliffe and Greed for barefoot bowls and tomorrow is 60-and-over.

Our next pokie trip is to Rich River on March 29 and please note the later time of leaving: bus leaves Merrigum at 10.15 am and picks up in Kyabram at 10.30 am.

The club extends its sincere condolences to the Forbes family on the passing of Geoff who was great supporter of our trips.

We will soon be announcing our presentation night arrangements.
