Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported the hit on the Telegram messaging app early on Tuesday, adding there was also a strike on warehouse facilities in another part of the city.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Monday that Kyiv was ready to support a US proposal for a Russia-Ukraine ceasefire on energy sites only if Washington could ensure Moscow was genuinely ready to end its war on Ukraine.
Zelenskiy's comments, posted on X, appeared to amount to a denial that Ukraine had formally endorsed US President Donald Trump's statement that Ukraine and Russia had agreed not to hit each other's energy targets.
Zelenskiy said Ukraine was not convinced that Russia was willing to abide by any agreement.
"Ukraine is not certain that Russia is willing to stick to any agreement," he wrote.
"The war must be brought to an end. And a de-escalatory step regarding critical infrastructure could be the first step toward peace. We expect specifics from our partners."
Russia has recently started hitting petrol stations in Kyiv, expanding the range of target facilities. In recent months, Russia hit some 300 petrol stations, mainly in or near Ukraine's frontline regions.
As Moscow was striking Ukraine, neighbouring Poland has began military aviation operations as a preventive measure to secure its airspace, Poland's Armed Forces said in a statement on X.
In Russia, which invaded Ukraine in 2022, a Ukraine missile attack has damaged a warehouse of the e-commerce company Ozon in the southern port city of Taganrog, among other facilities, regional governor said on Telegram.
Separately, a drone attack has hit an industrial facility in Samara region on the Volga River, Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said on Telegram, without naming it. The region is home to a number of large oil refineries.
