Artists from all around will gather in the town to create masterpieces for all to see.
This year's theme is ‘Rochester: past, present or future’ and artists will have the chance to showcase their interpretations of this theme.
The week of events kicks off with a Meet the Artists night on Friday, February 21.
This is where artists reveal small mock-ups of their planned mural and discuss why they chose their particular direction.
The fun begins the next day when the painting begins at Mural Park.
From Saturday, February 22 until Friday, February 28, the artists will work hard to finish their pieces in time for judging on Saturday, February 29.
On each day of the ‘paint-off’, the Rochester Rotary Club will be serving Devonshire tea out of the Heritage Courthouse across the road from the painting area.
Members of the public are encouraged to cast their vote for the People's Choice Award.
Winners will be announced at noon at the park on the Saturday, followed by an afternoon of activities. People will have the chance to purchase the artwork, excluding the piece that wins first prize.
The Meet the Artists dinner will begin at 7 pm at Rochester Lawn Tennis Club.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased from from Dingwalls Newsagency.
