Echuca Fire Brigade hosted the competition, with 17 junior teams and and 16 senior teams competing on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
Melton A won the junior competition, while Kangaroo Flat took out the seniors.
Echuca Fire Brigade captain Rob Amos said teams from as far as Mildura, Werribee, Benalla and Mooroopna competed in events such as hydrant and ladder races, hose and ladder practice, marshalling, Y coupling, hose, pumper and ladder drills and champion fours.
“The competitions are a great opportunity for firefighters to practise their skills in a friendly but competitive environment,” he said.
“It is also good preparation for the teams to prepare for the large state events.”
The Junior State Championships will be held next weekend in Horsham, while the Senior State Championships are being held in Mooroopna on March 28 and 29.
Echuca will also host its annual twilight demonstration on Saturday, March 21.
“This event starts around midday and would be a great opportunity for any interested in seeing what we do as firefighters to come down to VicPark and have a look,” Mr Amos said.
People are also encouraged to mark March 8 in their diaries, with Echuca Fire Brigade playing a game of friendly Twenty20 cricket against Melton Fire Brigade.
“We are very excited to raise money for the McGrath Foundation, while having fun and bringing the community together,” Mr Amos said.
“We are doing a raffle and silent auction, with all funds going to the foundation. Also, there will be a sausage sizzle and donation tins.”
The game will be held at Echuca South Recreation Reserve from 11 am.People can donate to https://fundraise.mcgrathfoundation.com.au/fundraisers/echucameltoncfa/pink-stumps-day?fbclid=IwAR0ko68SodWAI2Inrfc6tFAAf4xIO_UO5YhmOQFZZPfguTtI1XvGuXL0EU4
